Scott’s Story
Ever since I was a child my weight has always been a struggle for me. I played sports regularly, and even joined the Marine Corps shortly after high school. Upon coming out of boot camp I was in the best shape of my life, however it didn’t take long before my weight began to climb.

No matter what I did I couldn’t get my weight under control. After getting out of the Marine Corps, my weight eventually hit 250lbs. I felt hopeless, and I seriously doubted that I would ever see numbers below 200 again.

Several friends of mine told me about the program they were going through at Beaufort Weight Management. I was skeptical at first, but when I witnessed their weight loss, I figured it was worth a try.

I joined the program, and after about a year I had lost 60lbs. It was gradual, but I was surprised at how easy it was.

The key for me was a little sheet of paper that I almost didn’t fill out. It was in the front of my packet, and it had me list out my normal day’s food intake and where I though I was going wrong.

Believe it or not, it wasn’t hard to identify where I was going wrong. In fact it was so obvious that as I was writing them down that it was almost embarrassing. My fat and calorie intake was through the roof — Burger King for breakfast, China Buffet for lunch, and if it was a really good day my wife would meet me at Outback for dinner. Toss in Sweet Tea and sodas and that pretty much summed up my average day.

Once I identified those areas, as well as what my normal calorie intake should be, the rest was the willingness to make some lifestyle changes.

The accountability from Mrs & Mr. Oguntoyinbo and her staff will help you to stay on track, as well as encourage you to keep with it. Trust me, you’ll need that encouragement through this process.

If you have a desire to loose the weight and are willing to make some lifestyle changes, then this program is for you.

Don’t miss understand what I am trying to tell you. It can be done. This time I am stronger, wiser and older. Lorri’s Story
When I was younger, the one thing I always felt confident about was my appearance. However, following marriage and children, my body began to change. Suddenly my girlish figure was increasingly harder to maintain. By the time I went to visit Mrs. O’s office, my considerable weight gain had made me incredibly depressed. Of course I’d tried several times to lose the weight, but nothing seemed to help. I felt so hopeless at one point that I simply gave up, eating whatever sweets and sodas I could get my hands on. What did it matter anymore? But thanks to the friendly, encouraging approach of Mrs O/ Dr. O and their staff, I finally began to believe in myself and my ability to look good again and FEEL even better. They placed me on a nutritional program that made sense to me because it wasn’t overwhelming. Some moments during the program were easier than others, but it helped tremendously to know that I wasn’t in this alone.

In six months I have lost 50 pounds. My husband is currently deployed in Iraq and I’ve kept my weight loss a secret from him. I cannot wait to see the look on his face when he returns state-side and sees the sexy, new me. He won’t believe his eyes!

I canot thank Mrs.O & Dr. O and their staff enough for the difference they have made in my life.

Sheryl’s Story
A lot of people reading these testimonials think you have to be older or very overweight to come to Mrs & Dr. O. This is not true, as you can see from my experience. Even if you only have a little bit of weight to lose, they will help you lose it safely, and teach you the correct approach to food so you can keep the weight off. I am 23 years old, and gained weight while I was pregnant with my daughter. Once I had her, I continued to gain weight at a slow pace. I moved up to Beaufort, and a friend told me about the Beaufort Weight Management. I had tried diets before, and exercising, but it didn’t seem to work. So I went to Mrs/Dr. O’s office, and began my journey. When I went in, I had only planned on losing 40 pounds. I have been going since mid-August, and as of today I have lost 36 pounds.I even fit into my pre-pregnancy pants now, which I haven’t done in over 2 years! You do have to exercise and do portion control, but when you start seeing results, you can’t believe how easy it was to get there. Now that I see how healthy I am, I am going to continue with the program a little longer. I have recommended them to the few people I know here in town, and I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone considering a weight loss plan. Not only is it a great program, but the Doctors and their staff are so friendly. They really show you they care about you. They make you feel welcome and comfortable from day 1.

Linda’s Story
I would like to start off by saying thank you to the Oguntoyinbo family and staff. When times got tough you helped me to stay focused on my goal. Now I feel like Miss America in my own way. It took FAT killing my dear mother for me to realize if I didn’t make a change in my life it was going to KILL ME. I’m no longer on blood sugar nor allergy medications. My hair dresser Jane Cohen told me about the program and I would like to thank her. I started the program in April of 2007 weighting over 200 pounds. Now I only weigh 155 pounds. It has been a life style change, I do not need the food I thought I needed. My dress size went from an 18 to a 10, a perfect 10. One thing you must remember, learn to have fun exercising. Make it a part of your daily life.

I work at Nevamar in Hampton, SC. I have been there for the past 30 years. So the people there have seen big Linda and Little Linda. Since I started going to the weight management center everyone has been asking how I lost my weight and I told them Dr. O. I could not get them started until 2008 but after they got started it has been fun, fun, fun. I have eight people from the plant going weekly and we have the biggest looser game going on. We have a badge we pass around weekly to the biggest looser. At one point it was five of us car pooling and we couldn’t wait to see who was the biggest looser for the week. We even had two teams competing at one time. Some time the teams get together after work and walk or play games. When we really needed to work out hard to beat the other team we would run up and down the football hill at the high school. Thanks to Dr. and Mrs. O. for being there for us. My Nevamar family is the biggest losers of 2008 because we have lost 400 pounds, never to return again.

(Linda has met her goal weight and is currently on the free maintenance program).

Nan’s Story
I heard about the program from a lady at work and I decided to try it. I had decided to start the program because my sister-in-law had passed away from complications that were caused by being overweight. It really scared me and made me want to make some changes in my life. I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I first started the program. I went for my first visit on April 22, 2005. On that day I weighed in at 239 lbs. on a 5′5″ small frame. I was wearing mainly size 20 and some 22 pants.

The next week I had all of my lab tests done and kept my food diary. When I went back to the doctor at the end of that week I received the medications for the first time. I really wasn’t sure what to expect but the next week the diet wasn’t too hard to follow. The first weigh-in after receiving my medications and diet….I had lost 7.2 lbs. During the following weeks the weight just seemed to fall off. On May 27, 2005 when I weighed in - I was 221.8 lbs and I had lost a total of 17.2 lbs since my first visit. When I first started the program I really didn’t enjoy the exercise but the more weight that I seemed to lose…the more I wanted to exercise. I continued with the program with great results. On June 24, 2005 I weighed in at 212.6 lbs – a loss of 26.4 lbs in only approximately 2 months. On August 26, 2005 I weighed in at 185.8 and had lost a total of 53.2 lbs in approximately 4 months. On October 21, 2005 I weighed in at 173.2 and had lost a total of 65.8 lbs in about 6 months. If you stick with the program…It Works!! On April 14, 2006 I weighed in at 147.4 lbs and a total lost of 91.6 lbs and I was wearing a size 8 jeans. I went on the maintenance program at that time. As long as I continued to exercise and eat correctly then I had no problems maintaining my weight. I am writing this in December of 2008 and I am currently back on the weight loss program and want to lose about 40 lbs. I stopped following my maintenance program and gained back some of my weight when I had two major life changing events. I decided to go back on the program because I know that it works.

The first picture was taken in May of 2005 just a few weeks after I started the program. The second picture was taken in August of 2006 after I had achieved my goal weight.

Jody’s Story
I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with this program. It’s not just a place you go to weigh-in, pay your money, get your supplies and go home. Its friends caring and understanding; taking time to share with you the knowledge you need in order to succeed not just while you are in the program but long after you’ve “graduated”.

My particular story is like many I’m sure most of you have read about before. I was in a rut, eating portions that were too big, not drinking enough water, and most importantly not making time to exercise. With the help of Drs. O, all of that has changed. I still have my moments of weakness, but I’ve learned that you don’t let that stop you; you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get right back on track.

I’ve lost over 60 lbs and I could not be happier. I’ve been in the program about a year which may seem like a long time to some but you don’t gain it over night therefore you don’t lose it overnight.

This program and the staff are the best!

Sandra’s Story
I have been participating in the eating plan since May 27,2008. In just a few months, I lost 36 pounds and it seemed like I had put forth very little effort to do so. The eating plan is sensible and a good balance of natural foods. It consists of normal foods that are available from any supermarket and very easy to follow. I feel great and feel great about myself for the first time in years. I have tried every diet that was ever conceived in the mind of man and failed. For the first time I have had real success and the great thing is, I can do this for the rest of my life! I have 30-40 more pounds to go before I reach my goal, but I am confident that it is achievable.

This program is wonderful and I have recommended it to many others and they have found success with the program, too. Everyone that has tried this plan is just as thrilled as I am.

Tracy’s Story
I began this wonderful program on April 8th, 2008. On that date I weighed in at 217 lbs. on a 5′3″ frame. I was diagnosed three months prior with high blood pressure and surely was on my way to many more health problems. I’m Native American and have a family history of obesity. Most of my family have high blood pressure and are diabetic. I heard about the program through a friend and said a friend of her’s was going and lost a lot of weight. I was still having doubts that there was anything out there that could help me with my weight. I’ve tried everything, from a nutritionist to the internet. Nothing seemed to work. I would drop 10 lbs. just to gain it back and then some. At my second weighed in I told myself if I didn’t loose anything I would not go back. I lost 3 lbs. I hadn’t started any medications yet or changed my diet til the 2nd week. I figured it was just the idea of getting weighed again why I lost. I knew the following week I would gain it back, but I didn’t. One month into my program I lost 13 lbs. I seen immediate results, that’s why 7.5 mths. 70 lbs. lighter I’m still going, faithfully. Life is so much different. I realize how much I’ve missed being big. I hated getting my picture done. Would only have pictures done that we’re waist up. I’ve only had one family picture done in the 11 years, I’ve been married.I love the way I look in clothes now and I’m not even done with the program yet. I’m almost there though. I set a goal at the beginning thinking it’s unrealistic. I have only 7 lbs. before I’m no longer declared over weight and 12 lbs. til I meet my personal goal. Everyone around me is benefiting from this program. We’ve changed they way we eat and what we eat. It’s definitely a life style change, but it’s so worth it. I’m healthier now than I’ve ever been in my whole life and no longer taking HBP medication. My two pictures are from my Marine Corp ball 2007 and this years 11/15/08. For once, I loved going shopping for my gown and didn’t shy away from the camera’s.

George’s Story
I am a 64 year old male. My starting weight was 272 lbs in middle of June. I am now 235-236 lbs and still losing about 1.6 lbs a week, little problem for the Thanksgiving Day thing, but will be back in line soon. I have tried many diets (hypnotism, high carb, and others) before and really lost very little weight. It appears that the combination I am now using is working. My goal is to lose 60 pounds and it appears I will get there in the next 3 or 4 months (Holidays, and a Cruise being worked into the formula). I have recommended this program to my friends, but only if they are willing to concentrate and make the life change necessary in eating and exercise, this is the combination that must be used to get the results one wants when losing weight.
